Prof. Yeong Min Jang, Chair of the IEEE 802.15.7a Optical Camera Communications (OCC) Task Group, led the development of the IEEE Standard for Local and Metropolitan Area Networks—Part 15.7: Short-Range Optical Wireless Communications—Amendment 1: Higher Rate, Longer Range Optical Camera Communication (OCC), which was published by IEEE in 2025.
